On Tuesday, July 16, 2013, our car climbed to the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, elevation 6,288 ft, the only mountain in the Eastern US that is taller than East Tennessee’s own Clingman’s …
beautiful view of the sunrise on Crawford Notch and the train depot from my third floor window – not bad for a Monday morning

Title: 2nd chemo treatment
Location: Thompson Cancer Survival Center
Date: 2010-08-03
BEFORE:
I’m getting ready for my 2nd chemo treatment tomorrow by trying to get lots of rest today, listening to really good music, and channeling my energy towards producing many more white cells.
=========
AFTER:
We went to the doctor today, and my bloodwork says that my white blood cell counts are still too low. They are up to 700 from 400 last week, and we need to get them up above 1200 by next Tuesday. Track my white blood cell progress here: http://www.andrewmacdonald.com/?page_id=245. Needing lots of good thoughts, positive energy, and white blood cell growth this week. Go Bone Marrow!

Jacqui’s parents sent us a bear via the American Cancer Society, but we heard the ACS had to go to Glacier National Park to get it. In fact, they got the one that we saw on the banks Lake Josephine. Doesn’t it look ferocious? It is so ferocious that it is going to scare all the cancer cells out of my body! That’s my kind of bear. Yay!

We received a very cute little dog from our friends Kelly and Bill the other day. His name is Boggs, and we love him. He definitely looks like he is up to the task of taking care of me while I am going through chemo, and we plan on taking very good care of him as well.
