Time to Rebuild!

It is Sunday, and I am feeling MUCH better! My appetite has returned, I have more energy, and I am back to feeling normal again. My GI tract feels good, I can ENJOY food instead of just trying to eat it, and I had some wonderful pizza for dinner tonight.

It’s been 5 days since chemo, which means that all the drugs are out of my system, and it is time to rebuild my body for 9 days until my next chemo treatment. It feels WONDERFUL to feel normal.

Fun-filled Friday

Tonight I had enough energy to take Jacqui dancing at the Alive After Five celebration at the Knoxville Museum of Art. We had a blast! It was lots of fun to be able to dance, to see people, and talk to people. I haven’t really been out of the house since Tuesday. Most of all, it was great to be able to take Jacqui out and do something fun!

Just Thinking About… Tomorrow

Today is the 3rd day after chemo, and is one of the toughest days of the process. The drugs have done almost everything they can do to kill dividing cancer cells, and my body is at its weakest now. That being said, my spirits are still high and I am looking forward to tomorrow, because wonderful things will happen tomorrow!

Tomorrow —

  • all the chemo drugs should be out of my system
  • my appetite will return
  • nausea will not be a problem until the next chemo treatment
  • I will feel NORMAL again. YAY!

So even though today will be tough, I will focus in tomorrow and the rewards that it will bring.
