The First Doctor Visit

Monday, June 14 – I went to work as usually from 7:30AM-12:30PM. Jacqui called the doctor’s office at 9AM Monday morning to see if I could get an appointment to see the doctor that day, and she succeeded! We went to see Dr. Punam Bhandari on Monday afternoon at Fort Sanders West.

In addition to doing a complete physical, Dr. Bhandari ordered a CT scan for the next day to further investigate the mass in my neck, and also bloodwork so the labs could analyze it.

More than a Sore Muscle

Saturday, June 12 – My girlfriend Jacqui got home from ACVIM (American College of Veterinary and Internal Medicine) around 11:30pm, and I had a wonderful dinner and drinks waiting for her. Later that night, I showed her the “monstrosity” on my shoulder, and she became worried that it might not be just a sore muscle.

Sunday we spent the day trying to figure out if I should go to an urgent care clinic, the emergency, or if I could wait until Monday to see a doctor.
