Catheter Out

Monday, November 28, 2011 – Day 21: Today we’re getting my catheter out! Soon I will be able to shower without wrapping my chest in plastic and worrying about getting my dressing wet! It’s so wonderful every time my life gets a little bit closer to “normal” again, whatever that means.

Driving Again

Saturday, November 26, 2011 – Day 19: Today I drove for the first time since Nov. 1! It’s amazing the sense of freedom I felt behind the wheel after not driving for over 3 weeks. It was wonderful! I’m looking forward to regaining more control of things as I continue to get better.

Hot Sauce

Thursday, November 24, 2011 – Day 17: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! An amazing thing happened today. If you know me, you know I love hot sauce. Since the chemo for the stem cell transplant is so hard on my GI tract, I have not been eating hot sauce for quite some time, to take care of my insides. Today, I am feeling good enough that I have started eating hot sauce again, and it tastes wonderful!
