Thursday, April 21 – Tonight Jacqui and I went to a cello recital hosted by the UT School of Music at the Alumni Memorial Building. We got to hear 11 pieces, including a piece by our good friend Cecilia. The music was amazing to listen to, and we had a very enjoyable evening.

It’s amazing how neat it is to be able to go to musical performances by students. The music is very good, and it doesn’t cost anything to go, which is an added bonus. We recently discovered this. This past Sunday we went to a performance of Carmina Burana which was also hosted by the UT School of Music with the Chamber Singers, Mens and Women’s Chorale, UT Symphony Orchestra, and several other groups. We had a lovely time there as well.
I’m going to keep my eyes open for more events like these. What a great way to have fun. 🙂
