PET Scan Results

As promised, we did not get bad news this morning. 🙂 And, I feel that we got good news.

The doctor said that we don’t know that what is in my chest is Hodgkins Lymphoma. He also said that it has not done anything since the last PET in March. This is good, because it means the cancer, or whatever it is, is not growing.

The plan is to go with Option 4 for right now, to take the wait and see approach. I’ll go back to see the doctor in a month, and get another PET scan in two months.

In the meantime, Jacqui and I are very happy that we have joined a cancer support group. It looks like it will be a good thing. 😀

The doctor suggested that I stay active to keep my energy up, and that the mindfulness of yoga and meditation could be good for reducing my stress.

holistic approach

We also plan on investigating a more holistic approach. We have done much to heal my body in the past 10 months. Now while trying to figure out what my body is trying to tell us with this wait and see approach, we will see if there are ways to heal my mind and spirit in addition to healing the body.

This is uncharted territory for us, but we feel that it is well worth investigating. While there is still the uncertainty of what my body is doing right now, I feel a lot of stress release in knowing that we have a plan of action we can pursue to continue to conquer this challenge.

Thank you all so much for your love and support. It is wonderful to be able to share this news with you.

Peace and Love,
-A
