Today is the big day. Surgery.
Not the mediastinoscopy we were expecting, instead a mediastinotomy. Quick translation: Instead of sticking a scope down my neck into my chest to do the procedure, we’re going to cut a hole in my chest to do the procedure.
I’m a little nervous about the surgery today, but I know that everything will work out. Good recovery, and I’ll be back on my feet again.
