The hiccups are going strong for the second day now. Hopefully they will stop after tomorrow.
The other interesting thing that is happening is that I have been having episodes. They are strongest in the evening and last for about 5 or 10 minutes. I get really hot and clammy at the same time; my forehead, the back of my head, and in between my shoulderblades gets really hot. I feel a little nausea and also dizzy, and my body feels really heavy. During these episodes, my blood pressure sometimes is low – but not always – and my temperature goes up a couple of degrees. The nurses don’t know what to make of it, but we have decided it is a big wave of cancer cells dying from the drugs.
We’ve figured out that the best way to make things better for me is to take off my shirt and lay down on the cold bathroom floor with a pillow under my head and a cold pack on my forehead. We’re hoping this will stop for a bit after we finish chemo today. For your enjoyment, below is a picture from when I got laid out last night.
Notice how red my face, shoulders, and upper chest are. They’re are working hard to KICK CANCER’S ASS!!!
