Two for One!

Today I get 2 medical appointments!

PET Scan Number Five.

Jump up and down and move it all around.
Shake your head to the sound, put your hands on the ground.
Take one step left and one step right.
One to the front and one to the side.
Clap your hands once and clap your hands twice
And if it look like this then you’re doing it right.

PET Scan

What a way to start out a week on Monday. This morning I will be going in for another PET, which “will be key in determining our plan of action for treatment,” say the doctors.

They’ve got one coming to them.

After the PET, I will go back to the thoracic surgeon for my post-surgery check-up. I’ll take him my chest X-ray from last week and we’d like for it to show that my chest and lungs are healthy.

It would also be nice if it showed my lymph nodes shrinking. That has been Sunday’s goal in preparation for Monday’s PET scan. The lymph nodes got a talking to, and they understand that their mission is to shrink back down to normal size and stay that way. I told them they had no choice but to accept their mission. Hopefully they will act in a speedy and efficient manner.

I hope to ask the doctor tomorrow how the chest Xray from last Wednesday compares to the chest Xrays taken before and after surgery. I’m hoping the comparison will be good.

If TWO appointments in one day isn’t enough for me, I can make up for it by going to see my oncologist at Thompson on Tuesday morning. We will discuss the results of the PET scan, and discuss what my options are.

Here’s to GOOD NEWS on Tuesday, and continuing no more getting a little sideways on Tuesdays. 🙂 After all I’ve been looking forward to 2011 and No Cancer since I started this blog.
