Two days ago on Tuesday was my 3rd chemo treatment, the 3rd of 12 treatments. This means that I am 25% of the way through my current chemo treatment. Yay!
We are skipping the bone marrow boost this time, but since my neutrophil count is at 6800 this time, things should be fine. There are also studies that show that the bone marrow boost can cause increased risk of lung problems later on, so we are carefully trying to choose the best treatment path through all the pros and cons of side effects.
Right now I am looking forward to the weekend like most of the rest of you reading this are, but for probably different reasons. This weekend, the chemo drugs will be out of my system, and I will feel normal again. Then next week I will start strengthening my body for the next chemo treatment.
